Who Did VA Tech Officials Warn First?

It was the worst mass shooting in American history — the massacre at Virginia Tech.  Today, a ‘revised’ report has been released by a panel investigating the shootings more than 2 years ago, that takes a critical look at the actions of the university.

The revised report’s headline is that officials from the school locked down administrative buildings, even got word to friends and family, before alerting the rest of the student body to the fact that a gunman had murdered two students.  That incident preceded the mass killing at Norris Hall.

In other words, after two students were found gunned down in a dorm, officials from the school locked down an administrative building a full 90 minutes before alerting the entire campus.  Shortly after that the shooter entered Norris Hall with his guns firing.

This is not news. Trying to change the subject, after Obama made his outrageous claims on jobs????

Certainly we can be glad that Bill Clinton made absolutely certain that the murderer would be the ONLY person there with a gun — he had a guaranteed flock of unarmed peasants with which to make bloody headlines.
The Clinton crowd sure did account for an awful lot of dead people during their reign. Waco, Ruby Ridge, etc.
And, at VT, residual victims of their reign!

So what if a campus-wide lockdown had gone into effect sooner? The shooter would have been locked into some other crowded building and he would have simply murdered those people instead. His victims were not specific. Granted, security procedure was lacking, but the main issue here is that the students, faculty and staff at Virginia Tech were not allowed to arm themselves before the fact and defend themselves in the midst of a slaughter. Since this totally avoidable massacre, more than a dozen major universities across America now allow students who meet their state’s guidelines for the carrying of concealed weapons to do so. I am surprised that Virginia Tech has yet to do so. Just remember that according to the Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics, where there are armed law abiding citizens, there is less violent crime, yet where useless gun control still lingers and where there are so-called gun-free zones on college campuses, shopping malls, elder and child care centers, offices and places of employment, and more recently, military bases, there is a greater opportunity for mass shootings against large numbers of unarmed victims. Fort Hood is a recent example. Until the Clinton Administration, personal firearms were allowed on military bases; at least in the glove boxes of personal vehicles. Now they are forbidden. That is another so-called gun-free zone that needs to be cleaned up.

The entire senior Admin heads should be fired for cause. No pensions to be paid. Then the families of those shot should sue them personally in civil court and leave them pennyless.
