Lou Dobbs for President

If scheduling holds, Terry Moran will have his profile of recently retired CNN stalwart Lou Dobbs tonight. The firebrand Dobbs has been in the news, of course, since his departure from the network, which followed some head-butting on politically-charged editorial issues. What’s next is the big question. And the wide spectrum of possibilities, according to Dobbs himself, may include a Senate run in New Jersey as an independent candidate, and perhaps even a shot at the White House. Here is the top of the ABCNews.com report by Terry and producer Melinda Arons: Sometimes it seems like there are two Lou Dobbs. "Angry Lou" became a raging populist, cable-news crusader in recent years, turning his nightly CNN program, "Lou Dobbs Tonight," into a soapbox for rants on illegal immigration, federal spending, President Barack Obama and other things that made him mad. But then, there's "Affable Lou." And as we found out on a visit to his 300-acre horse farm in rural New Jersey, Dobbs is a hard guy not to like. Should be a pretty interesting watch.
