Last week, Andrea Canning profiled Marcus Bestin, the first legal male prostitute to work in the United States, in the Sign of the Times “American Gigolo.” The next day, the New York Post had this provocative story entitled “My Night With a Prosti-dude.” It’s no surprise, then, that the story made it to the staff at “The Colbert Report,” which yesterday awarded Bestin “Alpha Dog of the Week.” Cynthia McFadden appears in Colbert’s segment, as does Andrea, and you can imagine the comedian’s take on Bestin comparing himself to human and civil rights icons Rosa Parks and Ghandi.
