Chick-fil-A Grows With ‘God’s Blessing’

Atlanta-based fast food chain Chick-fil-A has recorded its 42nd consecutive year of sales growth, the company announced today. That's more than $3.2 billion in annual sales — up nearly 9 percent year-to-year. Chick-fil-A President and COO Dan T. Cathy said the company can thank exceptional customer service and unmatched quality for the continued success, before adding in the statement, "We have sensed God’s continued blessings on this business, especially during these unprecedented economic times.” Thanking God in an earnings report? You may recall a Vicki Mabrey profile of Chick-fil-A last year in our Ten Commandments series, which featured its quirky promotions, a devout following, and a Christian influence. The commandment in question? Respect the Sabbath. The segment, entitled "Never on Sundays," is embedded below.

One of the reasons I do eat there besides it being GOOD is that they give their employees sunday off. Kind of really nice for a change when we see so many companies intent only on taking more from their employees.

I have never heard of this company before, but it is good that someone has found a way to prosper in these dark times. Since Obama took office, I have been laid off and unemployed; and now I have joined the millions upon millions of underemployed, who do not even get counted in the statistics. Trained talent in engineering and business who are working way below their skill level just to make ends meet. A national outrage. No wonder we are loosing our viability to foreign competition. We need to get our technical talent back to work and use their training and experience to regain American leadership. Obama and his brain-dead Congress need to get to work and do something about it.

It’s not what you do that makes the difference to God but why you do it. It’s glorious to see God’s Hand upon the righteous with a Pagan in the White House and hedonists controlling Congress. Our country is in moral decay and the economy is the barometer of that decadence. Chic-Fil-A is always a bright spot in this Nation’s economy. God’s Promises are the focal point by which it is steered in the storm. Not bad for a fictional Entity, ay?

Is ABC News really this religious??
I guess that’s to be expected in a blog called “Faith Matters”. The article and newsclip seem acceptable, anyway. Kudos for maintaining openness to religion, yet providing useful news.
The cadential notes of the trumpeter around the 7/8ths mark were probably 10-30 cents flat in relation to his established pitches. Agh! No!! Unacceptable!!! /Oboist

Best fast food chain in the world – bar none. Clean, friendly, and great food at a great value. God bless Chick-fil-a!

Hate to bust your bubble on this one guys, but our technical talent started getting farmed out to Asia about two decades ago…for cheaper. Software development, coding, tech support- it’s all being done overseas. Our companies have found a cheaper business model and will never look back. The only way to drive technical jobs back here is to generate a new technology (and associated talent) here. Despite getting laid off myself, I see Obama’s vision with investing in green and energy rich initiatives. It’s simple. We drive the technology to generate greater control over our resources and resource consumption, as well as jobs. We position ourselves as the world leader.
As far as Chick-fil-A is concerned, I say congrats. As a private company, they have every right to nurture a faith-based business culture and model. The company and its owners have been blessed and I’m very happy for them.
