David Muir, who has been reporting all week from the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, will have a “Sign of the Times” tonight about some of the flamboyant fashion trends among the men’s figureskaters — and how they have evolved over the years. They were certainly on display last night during the short program event, as you can see in the picture above of American medal contender Evan Lysacek, ranked second going into tomorrow’s free skate. Of course, Johnny Weir’s stylings that have generated the most buzz, especially after he received threats of violence for daring to incorporate real fur in costume. You can see an entire slideshow devoted to Weir’s outfits here. Muir also did a “World News” segment tonight looking at the classic Cold War showdown brewing between Russian Evgeni Plushenko, the defending gold medalist, and the American, Lysacek. I would embed it, but as explained earlier, it's not OK to post.
