PGA Commissioner Confirms Tiger Woods Trip to Rehab
ABC’s John Berman reports from Florida:
PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem has confirmed Tiger Woods’ trip to rehab following reports of extramarital affairs with several women.
When pressed for details about Woods and rehab, Finchem said, “He got out of rehab last week … and he spent some time with his family, and he has time for this tomorrow and he’ll address the details of that tomorrow.”
Finchem said he has spoken to Woods, but would give no further information about the conversation or about what Woods might say tomorrow.
Woods announced on Wednesday that he would break his silence after three months of avoiding the limelight.
"This is all about the next step," Mark Steinberg, his agent, told The Associated Press. "He's looking forward to it."
The golfer plans to speak Friday at 11a.m. from the PGA’s headquarters in Florida where he will apologize publicly for the first time.

Tiger is not the first famous person to make a public statement without taking questions from the media. The media is outraged because all they want is to continue making hash of Tiger and his family for profit. It is time that Tiger and his family move on with their life and for the media to get off their back!

Finally, he needs to move on, address this issue and then play golf, the sponsors will come back, one by one, then the press will be saying, “Hasn’t he handled the pressure, the being under the microscope well? Move on people,,we all have skeletons of some kind.

I thought Tiger Woods had gone away, never to return. Please tell me we don’t have to see or hear from this pathetic loser ever again.

ABC WORLD NEWS !What a farce ! 90 percent of the “news” you broadcast is American news. PLEASE take the word”WORLD” off your title. As for “National Enquire” type news, leave this to Entertainment Tonight kind of programs. C’mon ABC, give us a break ! Give us WORLD news or find a new title.

I was appalled at last night’s ABC World News with Diane Sawyer which led with this story. Is there nothing else more RELEVANT going on in the world? Come on, Diane. Push back when your producers push these ridiculous stories your way. They may be newsworthy for the National Enquirer, but shouldn’t make top story for a credible news establishment. Stop pandering to your ratings.

Understandably, news @ Tiger Wood’s infadelity would become a hot topic, however, I think that it’s going a little too far now. Bill Clinton didn’t get chatisized as much as Tiger Woods is receiving, and Clinton was President of the USA. Sex addiction is just like any other addiction, let’s give the guy some breathing room. I hope he can be helped, for his families sake.
It’s time to let Tiger and his wife (family) work things out if they can.

Any person can take ANY story and whine that “it isn’t real news! Leave it to the Enquirer!”
Well, this story affects me – and my career.
Look, people, read the headline and if it doesn’t concern you, DON’T FREAKING READ THE STORY!

I’m with Mike. Tiger Woods is news, and he’s made billions of dollars being a public figure. Ying and yang, now he gets criticized for being the phony pig he is. That’s what happens with hubris. As Mike said, if you don’t like the story, move on.

There is a rehab place for having too much s e x? So there must be one for having too little right? Can I go to that one please?
I would think infidelity is more of a moral dilemma. Wouldn’t think that rehab would help that at all. You either have morals or you don’t. Of course, who are we to condemn the man? That’s between him and his family.

I feel that that it is not anyboby’s business it is between Tiger and his wife, and the media should stay out of it.

I have never known anyone who was a womanizer, that ever changed, in their lifetime. I don’t expect Woods to change, either.
We have seen and heard enough of this individual’s bad behavior. Time to move on.

the Media is the biggest losers. They need to stop puttung all this stress on tiger. He is just a person just like all the rest of us. he makes mistakes. Its not like he is different than anyone else in this world” like a president”. He is the best golfer in the world and what happends in his personal world should not matter. The media is 90% of the worlds Problems cause they can say what they want. I can bet that there is some media people that have slept with there bosses to get ahead but you do not see them in the spot lite. Inclose just leave him alone! Its between him and his wife and no one else.
