I am appauled that this has happened. To think that the DA's office didn't do a proper investigation is unacceptable and should be subject to prosecution themselves. Surely the defence stated that there was a problem with the car, why did the jury not get all the information before convicting Mr. Lee. There should be Federal prosecution of those responsible for this hainess crime against both Lee and the victoms
family. I feel this maybe a case of discrimination as well towards Mr Lee because he is a Laotion refugee and that makes me sick if so. This country is better than that.

By following this story, the media can help free an innocent man. Hopefully ABC news and other news organizations will let us know how Mr.Lee in Minnesota and possibly others elsewhere are being set free and treated fairly.

What I want to know is why the Minnesota prosecutors office is taking so long to apply to the courts to set aside the conviction and reopen the case? it looks like to me Mr. lee has spent two years in jail for something he was innocent of and the DA should get off his fat behind and move to vacate. also why wasn't Mr lee claim investigated properly in the first place? I mean it must have raised a few questions in the DAs office, a man coming from church with his family including his pregnant wife racing through an intersection and the man claiming that the car wouldn't stop should have made any half way competent traffic officer or experienced prosecutor extremely curious about the mechanical functioning of that car. How about toyota executives and engineers going to jail, the prosecutor disbarred and fired and the toyoda family paying a big hunk of their fortune to the victims.

It is looking more and more likely that Toyota was well aware of brake and acceleration problems on many of its cars. They should be subject to criminal prosecution for withholding evidence that could have sent an innocent man to prison.
