Erenstoft did a fine job of trying to keep his client quiet. He apparently bragged to police about the crimes. Doesn't anyone think it strange that Prugo's confessions on 20/20 came AFTER Erenstoft asked to be removed from the case? Obviously, his attorney felt like he had lost control of the kid. The timing of Erenstoft's troubles is also a bit suspicious. It seems like he was trying to settle a civil case amidst a criminal case. A tricky situation but attorneys are supposed to try to settle cases. I'll bet Erenstoft was trying to get the woman to come to court and testify truthfully. What's the crime in that? Who's to say that favorable testimony is not truthful?
