Kirk Cameron on Child Star Growing Pains

The "Growing Pains" star, now Christian evangelical has appeared on "Nightline" in various forms, including as a panelist in our first Face-off debate "Does God Exist? Martin Bashir interviewed Cameron by phone for last night's lead segment, "The Lost Boy," embedded below, about the sudden death of former child star Corey Haim. Cameron appears at about the 3-minute mark to talk about Haim and the troubling series of similar stories we've seen, from River Phoenix right through Brittany Murphy. Cameron also talks about Andrew Koenig, the 41-year-old who played his sidekick "Boner" on "Growing Pains." Koenig disappeared and and was found dead of a suicide in Vancouver three weeks ago.
