In the second block of last night's show, we looked at a French documentary that created a fake game show scenario to test the theories of Stanley Milgrim. Embedded below is quick clip about the "The Game of Death," which sees how far audience members and contestants will push an electrical dosage as an actor writhes in what they believe is pain. The flare-up comes nearly 50 years — 49 to be exact — after the famous Milgrim experiments, pictured above, looked at the same questions: How far would you go to inflict pain on a stranger? And under what circumstances? Included in the report were various real-life examples that in hindsight seem clearly delusional, if not evil, but for some sociological reason proceeded — from Hitler's Germany to the posed prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib. You can't change human nature?
