Some cartoon characters just plain work. Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. Fred Flintstone and Scooby Doo. Well, these days, the Michael Jordan of the cartoon world just may be SpongeBob SquarePants. Tonight, Neal Karlinsky and producer Hana Karar bring us a behind-the-scenes look at the billion-dollar SpongBob empire that inspired our anchor Terry Moran and his daughter, Madeleine (and likely millions more) to channel SpongBob for Halloween a few years, as you can see from the picture above. (Courtesy: Moran family) It's a fascinating look at the brains and voices that make this smash hit work that I will embed in the morning. For now, click HERE for the ABCNews.com report. Click HERE for a sneak-peek "Inside a SpongeBob Rehearsal." And as a teaser, embedded below is a little chat between Neal and SpongeBob. UPDATE: "The SpongeBob Sensation," in its full glory.
