Have you heard the audio yet? British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, already fighting for his political life in a three-way race that will be decided next week, is apologizing today for the latest high-profile hot mic gaffe. Brown was caught on an open mic calling a women voter "bigoted" and their prolonged, caught-on-camera exchange — pictured above — a "disaster." Audio, video, and more detail HERE. We'll use the story as a peg to recall many of the hot mic moments to come before. Brown is in serious company. Just think about the Vice President Biden's blunt enthusiasm whispered to President Obama for all the hear the day health care reform was signed into law. Here is a 2008 "Sign of the Times" similar in theme from Jake Tapper — this one growing out of some colorful Jesse Jackson disapproval of then-candidate Obama. UPDATE: Here is the segment, "A Brief History of Hot Mic Moments."
