One more from the in-case-you-missed-it category: “The H&M Empire,” a Friday night profile that included rare, behind-the-scenes access at the Swedish family retail giant famous for affordable fashion. Or, as correspondent Clarissa Ward puts it, designer duds at democratic prices. The segment includes interesting Hennes & Mauritz history, a look at its famous designer collaborations and an interview with current CEO Karl Johan-Persson. There is also plenty of footage from the company’s signature store openings, which in some cities have triggered no small degree of panic among eager shoppers. Worth billions and one of the hot brands out there, something works.
