Quick preview for one of tonight's segments, an inside look at the making of the television show "Divorce Court." It is a program that has has existed in various forms since the 1960s — the most recent, a syndicated version that has been on the air since 1999. On the bench is former real-life Judge Lynn Toler, pictured above, who cannot actually divorce the couples, but does dole out property decisions based on their testimony. Asked what the fascination is with watching dysfunctional pairs tee off on each other in a court setting, executive producer Mark Koberg said, "Because it's voyeuristic and I think people really like to see how these people are acting crazy and acting outrageous and silly and the funny things they do." He continues, more practically, "And I think they want to be informed and take away lessons from what the judge tells them." Click HERE for the full ABCNews.com report. Will embed the segment in the morning. ——————— UPDATE: Here's the segment, "The Price of Divorce Court."
