‘Survivor’ Producer Arrest Watch in Cancun?
We continue to keep an eye on Cancun, Mexico, where investigators today said they must wait on forensic test results before charging anyone with the murder of Monica Beresford-Redman, pictured above. Meanwhile, husband Bruce Beresford-Redman, has hired a high-profile attorney in Mexico after being named the suspect in his wife's death. Monica Beresford-Redman was reported missing last Monday and found Thursday, April 8, on what would have been her 42nd birthday. Authorities believe she was strangled. Her body was found in a sewer at an upscale resort where the couple reportedly had gone with their two children to sort out marital issues. Bruce Beresford-Redman, 38, is formerly a producer for the popular television shows "Survivor" and "Pimp My Ride." His passport has been confiscated and he is not allowed to leave the country. The children, for now, are in the custody of his parents, though that decision has been disputed by her family. Ryan Owens is in Mexico tracking developments. Embedded below is today's "GMA" report, "Will 'Survivor' Producer Face Charges?"

I wonder what the woman he was having an affair with thinks of her Prince Charming now.
If prosecuted, Mexico doesn’t have the death sentence and wouldn’t send him back here without guarantees the death penalty would be off the proverbial table.

Why don’t these people realize when they have a good thing. He had a great job and whatever problems him and his wife had were not worth him killing her. He is an idiot!!!!

He has a lot of ‘splaining to do. He upped her life insurance, he’s short on cash, the affair “stopped” just before this (yeah, right), the choice to go to Mexico b/c of jurisdiction (as Mariposa said), not to mention, he can confuse things by blaming the corrupt, dangerous traveling climate there. Plus, he must have had help to dispose of her… how would he know where the cistern/sewer was?

“corrupt, dangerous traveling climate”? Deb, this is a clear message that our country is no place to come and do dirty stuff. We are glad to receive American visitors willing to behave properly and respect our laws. Don´t come to get illegal drugs, don´t come to get rid of your wife. The violence we are facing is the result of the enormous thirst for drugs that Americans suffer. By the way, I don´t see how he needed help to carry her wife´s body and find a cistern which was accessible (I guess the place was not designed under the idea that somebody would open the cistern to hide a body)

Let’s not be too quick to judge here. Death at the Moon Palace is nothing new. On 6/19/09 Julia Howard left the pool area to go to her room for a hat. She never returned. She was found dead several days later. The first thing the Mexican authorities did was accuse her own children off killing her for her life insurance! Also, on 5/12/07 Jeff Toews from Canada was found dead inside the resort. He was the victim of a brutal beating. They never found out who did that to him. Mexico is famous for corruption and cover ups. They will do whatever it takes to protect their tourism dollar. To read the detailed stories of these two victims, as well as dozens of other tragic Mexico vacation death stories go to:

At first I was all excited to read about this. Caught in the sensationalistic journalism surrounding “Survivor Producer”…etc. Now its just really sad. Truth is its always been terribly sad.
