Book Says Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Confided Sex Hijinks to Michelle Obama
ABC's Christophe Schpoliansky reports from Paris:
A new book claims the French presidential couple kept an unidentified head of state waiting while they had sex. Ooh la la!
In the new book, “The Promise: President Obama, Year One”, Newsweek editor Jonathan Alter reveals that, during a visit to the US, France’s first lady, former supermodel-turned-singer Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, bragged to her American counterpart Michelle Obama how she and French president Nicolas Sarkozy had made a head of state wait while they were having sex.
'Bruni wanted to know if, like the Sarkozys, Michelle and the President had ever kept anyone waiting that way,' wrote the American journalist. ‘Michelle laughed nervously and said no’ he added.
The spicy revelation on the sex life of the French presidential couple has led people to think that the dignitary in question may even have been the Queen of England, although she was never identified by Bruni-Sarkozy in the discussion. During an official state visit to the U.K, President Sarkozy and his wife spent a night at Windsor Castle, home of the Queen, shortly after they married two years ago.
The Sarkozys are notorious for being late. In 2008, they kept Prince Charles waiting on the 90th anniversary of the 1918 Armistice. And the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month became… 11:10am, after their helicopter brought the Sarkozys late to the ceremony.
The new book about President Obama’s presidency is due to come out next week.

Why is this newsworthy? First, I don’t give a rat’s butt about what the French first couple do.
Second, why did Mrs. Obama (or whomever) reveal such a stupid thing to this author.
Third, well….we know why the author included it, don’t we?

So? They’re married. Is this being written because they are conservatives?
These biased journalists get DUMBER by the minute, what bores.

How could you not want to have sex with Carla Bruni all the time?

Now, if they’d just gone at it in the helicopter, they could have saved the ten minutes.

Sarkozy can have sex for ten minutes! What’s his secret?

I don’t this this is as bad as snubbing important figure heads altogether and sending people ipods filled with your speeches, though.

Boy,
I didn’t think my respect for Mr. Alter could get that much lower. I guess I was wrong.

If I were married to Carla Bruni I would be late for a lot of meetings as well — especially if they involved the Self-Absorber in Chief and his wife.
vive la Sarko!

For all the “so?” comments – what about the fact that these asses are:
1. paid by the People
2. late to historically significant events (11th hour – not 11:10 BAD form)
otherwise, yes…who cares. But to make the Queen or anyone else wait because you can’t control the screw sessions is bad form. To let it loose in a book is even worse.

Michelle Obama found it necessary to divulge someone else’s private matters to a reporter….Obviously she needs to get her own sex life or do something of value that can be written in a book.

If the report above is accurate, apparently Carla was comfortable sharing this particular aspect of her life with people she has just met. So, no bad marks to Michelle.
I do find it interesting that the wife of a head of state indulges in sophomoric sexual boasting. I thought people got over that after high school.

Nothing in this life usurps love. I don’t give a dang if its the president, queen, prime minister or the pope waiting for the petals of a flower that opens every 100 years. If you put a lady like Michelle or Carla in my bed things are going to wait for us to get our freak on. The fact that they are “paid by the state…..blah blah” or that they are supposed to be “setting an example” makes absolutely no difference. Love conquers, usurps, defeats and divides all. Its all we need.
I cannot fathom the intelligence of the person at ABC or the Author of the book who thought this would be newsworthy or worth putting pen to paper for. Suffice it to say they are “stupid” for lack of a more derogatory word that I had in mind.

I wonder how first lady Hillary Clinton would have responded.
Actually, I don’t want to know…the thought of her having sex makes me gag.

It’s amazing to me that previous commenters assume:
1)It’s accurate.
2)Our First Lady is the source.

HMMMmmm! And just how many jobs did this create??

first off, I don’t know who told Alters, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Michelle. I’m also pretty sure she doesn’t talk about sex in mixed company. she seems like the type of woman who’s a lady in parlor and not so lady like in bed. But she would definitely NOT talk about it in mixed company.
