BP should stop their commercials on TV and use the money instead to help the people hurt by their negligence. Nobody is interested in seeing commercials of all they are doing there ( which is not enough), at least not in this country, so stop wasting the money and pay it to the families who lost their jobs and businesses.

BP has obviously not done anything productive to stop this. All the while, their CEO is off yachting in Europe. I don't thing they really care. They are not thinking of the people this has affected, the marine animals that have been killed because of this catastrophe. And the CEO thinks that just a simple "sorry" is going to make it all better? NO.

To whom it may concern, There is a compound called calcium carbonate that has been proven to absorbe oil and make it settle safely to the bottom of the ocean. There is a company called texas wyoming drilling, inc. that has 300,000 tons of the stuff ready and waiting to go. The stuff is a natural substance that came from the ocean to begin with and because of the high content of other minerals in it, it is exelent for use in the marshes along the coast. Could someone please bring this to the attn. of the news desk so someone can ask our government about useing it

I am a senior engineer and see no evidence that estimates of the oil flow are anything more than wishful thinking. Based on my analysis of the videos, the flow was 150,000 to 200,000 barrels a day before they clipped the riser. Now I estimate >3 barrels per second are flowing, more than 1,000,000 gallons per day. Remember the pipe in the videos is a huge 22" diameter and the pressure driving the oil is likely thousands of PSI above the sea pressure at the pipe opening. The oil is flowing freely, not "leaking". Look at the videos and do the math yourself. We all have been caught with our pants down but this is no time to accept easy answers and wishful thinking and pass them along as fact.

Planetresource has a Eco friendly solution to clean up the tragedy British Petroleum has created, please watch the video animation:
and pass this along to as many people as you know.
One person can still make a difference in this world, is that simple interactions have a rippling effect. Each time this gets pass along, the hope in cleaning our planet is passed on.

I'm a professional pilot and have a few long-time acquantances who have been busy since the very beginning flying the chemical disburment aircraft 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. They tell me that BP, the U.S. gov't. and the media are being truthful regarding the severity of the oil spill. According to the scientits that he is working with, this spill is equal to the Exxon Valdez spill EVERY 7 days. Terrible - it's a shame that no other country has been pro-active in providing the U.S. with assitance when we are always there for most other countries and govenments.
