I don't know about your place of work, but the "Nightline" newsroom is literally awash with babies. It's goes well beyond one here, one there — more a steady drumbeat of pregnancies and newborns (of which I am currently a part) to celebrate and talk about. And so, there was a little personal interest at play for our Friday night look at the new documentary "Babies," a film that follows the first year of four babies born into dramatically different world cultures — San Francisco (Hattie, above), Mongolia, Tokyo and Namibia. The correspondent is Juju Chang, also very in tune with the film's theme given her three young sons. The segment, "Taking Baby Steps," which includes an interview with French filmmaker Thomas Balmes, is embedded below, as is the official trailer. The movie opened Friday night.
