“THIS WEEK” IS #2 IN ADULTS 25-54


 

“THIS WEEK” GROWS WEEK TO WEEK AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS, WHILE NBC AND CBS DECLINE

On Sunday, May 16, 2010, ABC News “This Week” was the number two Sunday morning discussion program among Adults 25-54, outperforming CBS’ “Face the Nation,” according to Nielsen Media Research.  “This Week” also experienced week to week growth among Total Viewers (+1%), while both NBC’s Meet the Press and “Face” declined -17% and -9% respectively.  In addition, ABC narrowed the total viewing week to week gap with NBC by 51% (540,000).

Last Sunday Jake Tapper had an exclusive interview with Senators Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Jeff Sessions (R-AL).  The round table featured ABC News’ George Will, Helene Cooper of The New York Times, former Obama White House Counsel Gregory Craig, former Bush White House Counselor Ed Gillespie, and Glenn Greenwald of Salon.com.

Ian Cameron is the executive producer. ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper is the interim anchor.  The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
