At the top of last night's broadcast was a murder mystery that began in 2008, when the naked body of respected Nashville attorney James Cannon, pictured below, was found strangled with a phone cord and stuffed in a closet inside his home. Authorities initially came up empty, unable to find a suspect in the shocking crime. But as the investigation proceeded, all signs — from hard evidence to interviews — began to point at his wife and the mother of their three children, Kelley, pictured above. There was surveillance linking her to items found at the crime scene; a history of domestic abuse — at her hands — emerged; and their 11-year-old son would testify against his mother. Part of her defense was that it would be physically impossible for a 90-pound woman to commit such a murder. The jury didn't buy it. Late last month, the trial ended with a guilty verdict — returned in less than an hour. She crime carries an automatic life sentence. Here's is the Andrea Canning segment, "Murder in Nashville."
