President Obama visited the Gulf today for the fourth time– surveying damage and meeting local leaders before a primetime address to the nation tomorrow night. The president said he wants "an absolutely clear understanding" of the problem before meeting with BP executives in Washington starting Wednesday. And while clearly BP is the big villain, the stakes for the Obama administration are high — indeed, seven in 10 Americans give the federal government's response a negative rating.
