Total ‘Eclipse’: $30 Million in Midnight Sales
So have you seen it yet? Millions of people have — lining up to pick sides in the Team Edward vs. Team Jacob saga, howling their vampire love at the big screen. "Eclipse," the third installment of the wildly successful "Twilight" series, took in more than $30 million dollars in midnight screenings last night — surpassing a record held by… well, itself. "New Moon," the second in the series, held the previous high for midnight screenings with $26.3 million in ticket sales. To mark the achievement, here's our interview from earlier this month with vampire heartthrob Robert Pattinson.

Normally, the movies with the biggest fuss and hype turn out to be total dogs when I go to see them.
I remember Star Wars as the biggest example of this in my lifetime.
I waited until it played on TV to see it and was totally disappointed. The producer should have had to pay me for my time to sit through that long drawn-out bore.
I suspect these twilight movies are similarly just more crap for the mindless masses.
