Oscar-winning film director Roman Polanski is a free man tonight — at least in Switzerland. Polanski had been under house arrest at his Swiss chalet, pictured above. Officials there rejected a request by the U.S. to extradite him to Los Angeles to face punishment for having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977.
