“GMA” Cuts Both Demo and Total Viewing Gaps with NBC Year-to-Year,

 

“GMA” Extends Total Viewing Advantage Over CBS Year-to-Year 

 

For the week of June 28, ABC’s “Good Morning America” averaged 3.880 million Total Viewers and a 1.3/10 among Adults 25-54.

 

“GMA” continues to reduce NBC’s “Today’s” demo lead, shrinking the gap -33% year-to-year. “GMA” also shrank “Today’s” total viewing lead by -28% year-to-year. 

 

 In addition, “GMA’s” total viewing lead over CBS’ the “Early Show” was +8% larger year-to-year.

The first 30 weeks of “GMA’s” new anchor team continues to outperform its STD average.  The program is up +1% (+20,000) among Adults 25-54 and +1% (+40,000) among total viewers.  For those 30 weeks, the demo (690,000) gap between ABC and NBC was -4% smaller and the total viewing gap (1,040,000) between ABC and NBC is smaller by -7% compared to the STD gap.  In addition, “GMA’s” demo (720,000) and total viewing (1,750,000) leads over the “Early Show” are both up +4% versus STD.

 

 The Emmy Award-winning morning news program, featuring the anchor team of Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Sam Champion and Juju Chang, airs live Monday through Friday from 7:00-9:00 a.m. ET on the ABC Television Network. Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
