What Should an Arizona Compromise Look Like?

Dozens have been arrested following protests against Arizona's strict new immigration law, which came into effect today. Demonstrators were clearly not satisfied by a court action yesterday, blocking the most controversial provisions. So tonight we ask: If the diluted legislation is still capable of stirring such popular passion, is there any hope for Arizona to work out a compromise? And what form should an agreement between the two sides take?
