Al Qaeda’s Second in Command Al-Zawahiri Releases New Audio Recording
After the ninth anniversary of the Sept.11th attacks, Al Qaeda's second in command Ayman Al-Zawahiri has released another audio recording with an English transcript on various jihadi websites.
Zawahiri spoke about current events including devastating Pakistani floods and President Obama winning the Nobel Peace prize.
The audio message was accompanied by a previously seen photo of Zawahiri and is being analyzed by the intelligence community.
Ben Venske of the Intel Center, a private organization which analyzes jihadi propaganda videos tells ABC News the statement was released in a distribution pattern typically used by Al Qaeda and appears to be authentic.

I heard some of this mess. It makes absolutely no sense. It’s a rambling.
I just don’t understand their hatred of women. I think these muslims are sick.

The death of Bin Laden did not put the US out of the crosshairs of Al Qaeda. When the US brings one terrorist leader down, there are hundreds who are willing to take their place. This is a war of ideology and the hearts and minds of the people in the war-torn regions where the outcome of the war will be decided must be won over to a political disposition of freedom and democracy with a pluralistic view of differing ideas and political persuasions. – Jonathan Witerski
