Five Miners Out in Chile — 28 to Go

No closing argument tonight — just watching miner after miner emerge from the earth at the San Jose mine in Chile, in one of the most dramatic rescues the world has ever witnessed. So far the effort appears to be going off without a hitch, with the capsule making clockwork round trips, the miners emerging in seeming good health and rescue workers showing an impressive esprit de corps. Tonight, for once — so far at least — it's all good news.
