“20/20” and ABC stations across the country investigate the Better Business Bureau, whose A+ grade is considered the gold standard for businesses.  So why did the BBB in Los Angeles give a group of white supremacists an A+ while the Boston chapter of the BBB  gave the five star Ritz Carlton Boston an F with two complaints and millions of customers served?  As Brian Ross reports, the BBB is under fire, accused of using bad ratings and the promise of improved ratings to sell memberships.  “20/20” watches as business owners with C grades say they were told they could improve their rating by paying $425 for a membership in the BBB and then watch as the business’s score goes up to an A+ in one business day.  It’s a startling investigation that has some companies calling for the Better Business Bureau itself to be investigated. The exclusive report airs on “20/20,” FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

And: Imagine finding out your “prince charming” has a dark secret past. That’s exactly what happened to one Florida woman who found out the hard way that the man she thought she knew had a wife and child in another state. But that wasn’t even the breaking point… it was only after she learned that he was convicted of murdering his adoptive parents and younger brother when he was just 15 years old and had been living under another name for years. Chris Cuomo’s report includes interviews with all of the key players in this unbelievable story of murder, love and deception.

Plus: In this dog eat dog world, it turns out dogs are eating just about everything else!  From 27 baby pacifiers to rocks to glue to $800, Bill Ritter reports on some remarkable stories of dogs who have ingested pretty bizarre items and lived to bark about it.  One couple’s dog even survived the ingestion of a cell phone charger wrapped in glue.  He also talks to pet expert Dr. Ann Hohenhaus about this strange behavior.

“20/20” is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and Chris Cuomo. David Sloan is executive producer.
