“GMA” Increases the Most Versus the Competition in Total Viewers Year-to-Year and Season-to-Date;   

“GMA” Cuts Total Viewing Gap with NBC’s “Today” Year-to-Year; 

“GMA” Expands Total Viewing Lead Over CBS Year-to-Year


ABC’s “Good Morning America” averaged 4.58 million Total Viewers and a 1.4/10/1.77 million among Adults 25-54 for the week of November 29, 2010.  Wednesday’s broadcast (12/1/10) matched “GMA’s” most-watched Adults 25-54 (1.92 million) telecast of the season.

“GMA” grew the most (+8%) in Total Viewers compared to the same week last year. (NBC’s “Today” -1%, CBS’ “Early Show” +5%). This marks the program’s fourth consecutive week of year-to-year increases in Total Viewers.  In fact, “GMA” has increased versus the same week last year in Total Viewers 10 of 11 weeks this season. Season-to-date, the program also grew the most (+4%) in Total Viewers while NBC’s “Today” declined -4% and CBS’ “Early Show” remained flat.

Versus the prior year, “GMA” shrunk the total viewing gap with “Today” by -27%.  “GMA” expanded its total viewing lead over “Early Show” by +13% compared to the same week last year.

 The Emmy Award-winning morning news program, featuring the anchor team of Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Sam Champion and Juju Chang, airs live Monday through Friday from 7:00-9:00 a.m. ET on the ABC Television Network. Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
