“Ratings Report for “This Week with Christiane Amanpour”

On December 19, 2010, ABC News’ “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” drew 1.91 million Total Viewers and 610,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. 

Versus the prior week, “This Week” narrowed the A25-54 gap (60,000) with CBS’ “Face the Nation” by -75% (-180,000). 

On Sunday, “This Week” featured an exclusive interview with Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Senator John Kerry (D-MA) and ranking member Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN) with anchor Christiane Amanpour and discussed START treaty, the Administration’s war strategy, and repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. As part of the ABC News’ “Be the Change: Save a Life” initiative, “This Week” looked at the effort to provide adequate nutrition to millions of babies for their first 1,000 days of life and give them a brighter future. Christiane Amanpour had a special report from Guatemala, as well as an exclusive interview with USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah. Reuters’ Editor at Large Chrystia Freeland, Rajiv Chandrasekaran of The Washington Post, political strategist Donna Brazile, and George Will of ABC News joined Ms. Amanpour for the roundtable discussion. 

Christiane Amanpour is the anchor of “This Week” and Ian Cameron is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
