ABC News Programming Note: Tragedy in Tucson

In light of the tragic shootings in Tucson, Arizona, where Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was among as many as 12 people wounded at a Tucson grocery store, ABC News will cover the latest developments across all broadcasts and platforms. ABC News will air a special edition of “World News” anchored by David Muir dedicated to the tragedy. David Wright will report live from Phoenix, AZ.

Additionally, George Stephanopoulos will co-anchor tomorrow’s “Good Morning America” live from the scene of the shootings in Tucson, joined by anchor Dan Harris.

Tomorrow, anchor Christiane Amanpour will report live from Tucson for a special edition of “This Week with Christiane Amanpour.”

ABC News Radio will provide a one-hour special at 7:00pm ET tonight on the tragedy, anchored by Aaron Katersky. Correspondents Jim Ryan and Chuck Meyer will also broadcast up to the minute reports.
