The Tea Party Parties at the ‘W’: Bad Form, or Just Good Fundraising?

Congress' new Republican arrivals went out in style tonight, heading to Washington's luxurious W Hotel for a gala fundraiser featuring a private performance by country star Leann Rimes. Tickets were $2,500 a person, or $50,000 for a table of eight with a VIP suite. Critics say the party was far too posh for a group of legislators who arrived in town under the Tea Party banner of changing Washington. Organizers say it was just a good way to raise money. So tonight we ask you: Which side is right?
