The following report highlights the programming of ABC’s “Good Morning America” during the week of May 2 – May 6, 2011. Josh Elliott joins the “GMA” team as News Anchor on Monday, May 2.

 

“Good Morning America” is a two-hour, live program anchored by Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. Josh Elliott is the news anchor and Sam Champion is the weather anchor. The morning news program airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (7:00-9:00 a.m., EDT), on the ABC Television Network.

 

Highlights of the week include:

 

MONDAY, MAY 2 – Actor and author Rob Lowe (“Stories I Only Tell My Friends”); actress Penelope Cruz (“Pirates of the Caribbean 4”); “GMA” welcomes News Anchor Josh Elliott to the morning team;  Tim Gunn on the reaction to the Royal wedding dress, and a live reveal of a copy of the dress; Dr. Besser looks inside the medicine cabinet

 

TUESDAY, MAY 3 – Actress and author Betty White (“If You Ask Me”); more with Rob Lowe; Donny Osmond dishes on the  remaining finalists on “Dancing with the Stars;”  Vicki Mabrey previews her interview with Jesse James; everyday activities that can be harmful to your health 

 

WEDNESDAY, MAY 4 – Author Bob Greene (“20 Years Younger”); the “Dancing with the Stars” couple voted off from Tuesday night; Gluten free diets: are they bad for our kids?

 

THURSDAY, MAY 5 Dr. Oz reports on hidden calories in a family’s diet; Maya Angelou (“Great Food, All Day Long: Cook Splendidly, Eat Smart”); revenge plastic surgery; product testing: man vs. machine
