A CONVERSATION ON FATHERHOOD: PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA TALKS TO ABC NEWS’ ROBIN ROBERTS

Interview to Air on “Good Morning America” on Friday Portions to Also Air on “World News with Diane Sawyer” on Friday and “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” on Sunday 

As Father’s Day approaches, President Barack Obama discusses his personal and revealing lessons about fatherhood with “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts. The President will discuss his own experience being a dad to his two daughters and also the strained relationship with his own father. In his memoir “Dreams from My Father,” he wrote about the complex relationship with his dad.

In addition, the President will respond to questions from little league dads to fathers serving on battle fields around the world, and even from a few celebrities, on what it means to be a father.

The interview will air on “Good Morning America” on Friday, June 17.  Portions of the interview will also be featured on “World News with Diane Sawyer” on Friday and “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” on Sunday, June 19.

 “Good Morning America” is a two-hour, live program anchored by Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. Josh Elliott is the news anchor, Lara Spencer is lifestyle anchor and Sam Champion is the weather anchor. The morning news program airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (7:00-9:00 a.m., EDT), on the ABC Television Network. James Goldston is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC News’ “Good Morning America.”
