I don't think I'll eat at McDonald's ever again. Banning a customer for life for making complaints about the dirty playground is unjustified. Rather the bacteria is big or smell, they're supposed to keep the playground or the facility itself sanitized so nobody won't get sick. Bottomline.
I've made several complaints at a different restaurant about how dirty and unsanitary it was and never been"banned for life."

To all you idiots who are judging this poor woman, badmouthing her are the ignorant ones and needs to grow up. It's not like y'all've taken your children to McDonalds or anywhere else and didn't get the germs from it. There could've been puke, blood, rotton food, bugs or ants in that playground for all I care so she has every right to complain about the mess so that other kids won't get exposed to virus or disease from hanging out at such filthy place. And for you guys to trash mouth her for doing what is thought it's right, all i got to say is smh. it's selfish McDonalds piggies like you that gives McDonald's really a bad rep cause yall don't seem to have a common sense. If that was your kids who got sick and you knew it was from unsanitized restaurant, you guys would have complain too. Shame on you guys.

I don't think they should go crazy with it but I think they should do something. I went in one recently because it was really cold and I couldn't take my son to the park and thought he would enjoy it, looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it was put up. There was dust in the corners INCHES thick and molded food in more than one area also while we where there I seen a sick kids sneeze say gross and wipe it all the snot on the wall of tunnel laughing.

I was at a McDonalds and the janitor who was mopping the floor pulled the mop off the floor and then began mopping the tables! I am American and reported this to the mexican manager who saw nothing wrong with what the mexican janitor was doing. Incredible.

Just goes to show what's wrong with parents of this generation. These parents are making kids today extremely fragile. I'm pretty sure a parent's job is to prepare them for the world they'll live in, not overprotect them from it. These moms need to stop blaming things happening now on everything else. If a violent crime happens, don't blame a violent video game. If a movie isn't kid suitable, don't take your kids to see the movie and actually READ the rating. If a TV show is not meant for kids, tell your kids not to watch it and DON'T blame the network. If you complain that a fast food restaurant is making your kid unhealthy, stop taking them to that place. If a cereal is making your kid unhealthy, don't buy them it. Seriously! What's gonna happen to these moms' kids when they're grown up? These moms have to stop playing the blame game and actually get some help.

The health inspector is not doing his or her job. They do not only inspect the inside of the restaurant, but the outside as well. Health hazards on the outside can enter into the inside for anyone who believes that the inspectors only check the inside and not the outside as well. I know because I have been the the restaurant business all of my life.

I have just taken a few anatomy classes and a microbiology class, and based on what I have learned, pathogenic bacterial is everywhere. I think that too much emphasis was placed on the bacteria she found in the play area. Any bacteria can cause meningitis if you don't have a strong enough immune system . Meningitis itself is defined as inflammation of the meninges that surround the spinal cord and brain, mostly due to already present bacteria multiplying and taking a foothold.

As for the bacterium that can cause gastrointestinal distress and nausea, I'm guessing she found salmonella or E Coli. Finding E Coli isn't shocking as E Coli is found in feces, and children don't wash their hands after they poo and wipe their bums. E Coli also cannot hurt you unless you literally drink from the toilet, and even then , your body has systems of eliminating E Coli through stomach acid, lymphatic tissue, and intestinal flushes (diarrhea).

I think more emphasis should have been put on the unsanitary conditions such as rotting food, hair, and other actually visible debris, and also on the employee's unwillingness to clean up those things. As for bacteria and other pathogens, hospitals are much worse, since they actually contain drug resistant strains of pathogens.
