It is flat-out foolish to PUNISH people with ever-higher toll fees who have to use the bridge to enter and leave that sewer known as NYC. Where is the accounting for all those toll fees collected? Where do all those dollars go? The toll fees are far beyond 'reasonable', especially since the GW bridge is a real eyesore p.o.s. without any scenic view! The whole concept of toll roads and bridges is discriminatory and illegal. How do you get into NYC without paying some unaccountable thieving agency excessive, confiscatory fees? Holland Tunnel. Valparaiso Bridge. GW Bridge. Lincoln Tunnel. Tappan Zee Bridge. Verazanno Narrows Bridge. Then there are all those illegal toll roads that are part of the Interstate Highway System, which was created to be 100% toll-free, funded by fuel taxes and Highway Trust funds, as signed into law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Once a toll road, tunnel or bridge is created, they never go away, even after the facilities are long ago paid for, even when the special legislation that creates them mandates the total elimination of any and all tolls after the projects are paid for. ??? Im a retired truck driver. The price of fuel itself should tell ya that the owner of the truck is just making it. The fat-cats that sit at their desks have no ideaa whats going on out on the road. And what really surprises me is that the cops go along with what ever they are told to do.(Got to protect that pension,) So hers the trucker thats got nothing, trying to keep from giving to the state so he has the money to live somewhere in the middle class, and keep his truck safe to drive on the highway. Everywone wants what they have and more with complete disreguard as to how they got it. It came by truck. The rates stay the same reguardless of fuel prices and insurance.
