Former NBA center Shawn Bradley can ride high again after police recovered his stolen custom-made bicycle.
The crime perplexed both police and Bradley since the 80 cm frame Trek was built to hold the 7 foot 6 NBA star.
“My brother is 6 feet 10 inches and he can’t ride it,” a baffled Bradley told the Deseret News.
The bicycle was stolen from a barn on Bradley’s Murray, Utah, property. Despite having his pick of ATVs, motorcycles and normal-sized bicycles, the thief only took Bradley’s gigantic wheels.
A random search of a home by state probation and parole officers on Thursday turned up the Bradley’s beloved bicycle, the Deseret News reported.
Police arrested Joshua Carter, who is six feet tall, for possession of stolen property and theft.
Bradley said he was pleased to have his bike back, but said there’s one small problem.
“I’ve got to figure out how to get the seat back up where it belongs. They tried to adjust it for them to ride,” he told the Deseret News. “It’s not for the average person, shall we say.”
