New Arizona Christmas Tradition: Guns and Santa

Tired of the same old holiday photos with Santa? For the second year in a row, Arizona’s Scottsdale Gun Club has offered  a little more:  Ring in the holiday not only with Santa  but with a few high-powered assault rifles too.

“Santa’s back with his bag of goodies,” the gun club website reads.

Members pay $5 and  nonmembers pay $10 for a photo with Santa, and the opportunity to pose with AK 47s, grenade launchers and machine guns.

The next photo-op comes Dec. 10.

“Whether you’re a gun advocate or you’re not, you should have a lot of fun with it,” gun club member Richard Jones, told Phoenix news station KSAZ.
