I agree with ralphf, give blago the maximum sentence. Enough with politicians, celebrities and wall street money makers getting off easy when in fact their crimes are even greater than murderers. They have destroyed not just one family but in fact millions of families and in effect this great country.
By attempting to sell obamas seat this man has taken away our right as americans to have someone we would respect to represent us in politics for some money in his pocket, which in effect leads to a senator who cares only to fill his pockets seeing his willingness to do business with blago, and then passing laws which would benefit the big banks seeing they have the deepest pockets. Locally how many families has blago hurt by giving contracts based on money for local jobs. This man is the worst of politicians and had the nerve of showing up on the apprentice like a clown when he should have been hanging his head in shame. He has no remorse dont be fooled again by a prepared speech. Lock him and any other corrupt politican up and throw the key away.

I would assune you do not live in the fair state of Illinois. What Blago, (and several of his predecessors, has done to Illinois is beyond words. I can proudly say I did not vote for him, but the alternatives have not been much better!

I hope the judge throws the book at Blagojevich. He’s an arrogant, egotistic scum bag, who truly represents what’s wrong with our politicians today. A strong message MUST be sent. He MUST get the maximum number of years possible. Sadly, there are morons who think 2 years is enough time in prison. That’s exactly why we have the corruption in Washington that we do. They know all they will get is a slap on the wrist if they are caught taking millions illegally. Hey if I could grab 1.5M and get 2 years in jail, I’d get half of that reduced for going thru the trial and the rest dismissed for ‘good behavior’. Then I could get right back to work scamming my next 1.5M right?

Prison for 15-20 years is too long. Hardened violent career criminals need to use that jail space instead. He needs to go to jail for 2 years, do community service and probation for 2o years.
