Dutch TV-Show Hosts Appear to Dine on Each Other’s Flesh

Two Dutch television-show hosts said they had their flesh cooked by a top chef and then dined on each other before a studio audience.
“Nothing is really that special when you’re talking about the taste of the meat,” host Dennis Storm told ABCNews.com. “But it is weird to look into the eyes of a friend when you are chewing on his belly.”
Part of Storm’s left butt cheek was carved out by a surgeon, while his co-host, Valerio Zeno, opted to have a piece of his abdomen removed, they say.
“We went to the butcher, the surgeon and the studio, then we looked at each other and just ate it,” Storm said. “The special thing is, it was his flesh, of course.”
There were no fava beans and chianti. Not even spices, just human flesh cooked medium rare.
“The chef cooked it in a frying pan with sunflower oil,” Storm said. “We didn’t add any salt or pepper because we wanted to know what it tasted like.”
They host a new show on BNN in the Netherlands called “Proefkonijnen” or, as its title translates, “Test Rabbits.”
“The punchline of the show is to get really simple answers on stupid questions, such as, ‘Can you shave with ketchup’ or ‘can you drive blind?’” Storm said. “And we wanted to find out how human flesh tasted.”
The cannibalistic episode airs Wednesday in the Netherlands. Storm said the stunt, which has garnered a lot of media attention in Holland, was completely worth the pain in his behind.
“It was just a few centimeters of meat,” he said. “And now I have a good story about that scar.”

That was disgusting to read about. I wonder if “medium rare” was safe. And before I hear anyone say it is wrong,according to the Bible, I would like to say the Bible says drinking blood is wrong, I do not recall anything about eating flesh. I know I could not do it knowingly.

I read a German Judge ruled a 12 year old who had three children by her father say it was “consensual”, and now these freaks in the Netherlands. Looks like Europe is going back to the Dark Ages.

In europe we dont have overpopulated prisons, crime rates that are through the roof. People in the Netherlands don’t have to suffer under their medical bills, because of insurances that are to expensive

Well the story doesn’t tell why they did it. Years ago a rugby team crashed down with a airplane and to survive they eat eachother. And they wanted to know if they could do the same.

It is somekind of a sience tv show, the question was, how does human flesh taste like.
So they are giving an answer.
But still, the most euro people dislike the US.

Lol, it’s funny how dumb the Europeans can be when the best lie they can come up with is some notion that Americans are fat, and they themselves aren’t. Trust me, you spend enough time in Europe and you’ll soon realize how alike we all are, and how we all share the same problems (eg, Terrorism, over immigration, bad economy, loss of morals, etc.). The Europeans really shouldn’t throw stones lest they ricochet right back and hit themselves where it counts.

No, what Europeans dislike about Americans is that they wave their Bibles in the air whenever they can. Ontopic: This has been done in free will, by two hosts that happen to love to shake things up a bit. It’s what they do, it’s what they’re known for. They don’t go around murdering people so they can eat them, it’s an experiment, and I doubt they do it on a monthly basis. If they want to cut a human steak out of their buttcheek, whats’ it to you? It’s not like they’re forcing you to eat it. And it’s so typically American to immediately claim “The Dutch are idiots”. Way to generalize, judgmental losers.

Who cares? They are both consenting adults, doing a stunt that embodies the point of the show.
I wouldn’t do it, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
If its blasphemous in your eyes, then its blasphemous in your eyes. It’s not anyone’s job to point out what people should or shouldn’t be offended by.

I AM American. Yes, we are stupid, but we are smart too. We are fat, but we are fit too. We are all kinds of things, and America is made up of Asian-Americans, African-Americans, German-Americans, Dutch-Americans, I think my point is made. No need to slander anyone.
To the point: I get the test. I am repulsed and almost on the verge of barfing at the actual thought of doing it, but I DO want to know what they thought! What DOES it (we) taste like? It has always been said, “THEY say we taste like…” but who the hell are THEY?! And I am curious. And as someone said, it is a show where they do scientific research of sorts, so if they have done it, we should at least get the data or answers (those of us who want to hear them). And those who don’t want to see it; turn the dang station! Sheesh!
So, does anyone know what the outcome was? Did they gag? Did they say it was, um, tasty?! I dare to think…

First of the translation test rabbits isn’t the proper one. The English translation should have been guinea pig.
Anyway, I have seen the show and it was a bit crazy but, as said before, done by two guys who just like to test stuff out, not harming anyone.
To get to Johns question, tast differed from piece to piece. They took out some body fat tissue and a tiny part of actual meat, muscle. Both pieces where not even an inch by an inch. They both commented that the body fat was not so good and they had trouble swallowing it. Not openly by the taste but, since it was the first they ate, also the idea. The meat however was like any other good piece of meat.
For those who are curious about it an would like to see. I’m sure it’ll be on you tube in the next few days.
But furthermore……DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME………it may or may not have been a dumb idea but it was done under medical supervision so don’t cut of a piece of your friends ass next time you throw a bbq party.

So i guess i’ll be the only one who thinks outside the box. but i’ve tried strange foods before and honestly i would try this. why the f not. apparently its similar to pork in smell and taste
