I am not so sure now. Journalism has become lazy lately. But I miss Hitch so much. His writings and words will live on forever. It would be great for journalists to make sure they get it right... miss Hitch :( Scratch that… I am not so sure now. Journalism has become lazy lately. But I miss Hitch so much. It is not a creed. Death is certain, replacing both the siren-song of Paradise and the dread of Hell. Life on this earth, with all its mystery and beauty and pain, is then to be lived far more intensely: we stumble and get up, we are sad, confident, insecure, feel loneliness and joy and love. There is nothing more; but I want nothing more." The first quote is from Hitch. The whole thing simply was not put. “The only position that leaves me with no cognitive dissonance is atheism. A tall order, I realize. And an atheist can pray just as a theist can. We just don't expect to receive a personnally directed answer, mysterious or otherwise. Hope is a human adaptation to the environment. As is religion. Environments change. What advantage religion for our species in current environment? In my opinion: None. I guess it's meant as a screening to a point, as well as a way to collect targeted ad recipients. But, is it worth the hassle? In a news site? So much "opinion" is not input because of it. and little offensive, or "dangerous" info is screened out. I might even prevent those from fascist regimes from relating important facts. End it now! the internet would be improved 1000% at least, if one didn’t have to “register” to post a response to every article and report. I knew Lao Tzu and would advise you that "He who knows does not speak. He who speaks does not know." What you don't know about Christopher would fill a Wikipedia. All this guy ever really wanted was to be George Orwell. I knew George Orwell, I worked with George Orwell and, Christopher Hitchens, ladies and gentlemen, was no George Orwell.
