Yes the prosecution has to prove the guilt of the client, but the defense is supposed to do everything in their power to dispute the claims of the prosecution. An alibi should have been the first thing the defense produced and they are equally stupid for their failure to show he was in prison at the time of the crime.

Only in Texas are the lawyers on both sides this stupid!

I love how the prosecutor put this on the defense. The defendent doesn’t HAVE to prove they are innocent. The prosecution has to prove they are guilty. The police should have found this as part of THEIR investigation.

The prosecutor says the man did not mention he was in incarceration at the time of robbery. Question: would the prosecutor believe if the accused had mentioned that in court? The prosecutor might have pushed for the death penalty. District Attorneys are obsessed about their re-elections; therefore, if an innocent man gets executed, so be it.

The courts aren’t about truth, or right or wrong, or justice. Whoever has more money to hire the better debater will win. Is it the jury’s fault if they were persuaded by whoever had the smoother tongue? For crying out loud, here is a surveilance video catching the guy in the act, and we all know pictures don’t lie, ladies and gentlemen of the jury.

I love the knocks on Texas.. as if they are the only legal system that gets it wrong. Nah, America is just a lovely happy place where, without TEXAS would be the most fair in all the land. Actually, America puts more people behind bars than Russia and China combined. That is mind boggling.
