@ChrisF do you read or do you just make stupid comments without reading the article? She wasn’t just rude she cut in front of multiple cars and then when she was refused service she refused to move. In what reality do you live where this behavior is acceptable? She pretty much wasted the time of the officers that had to respond to that call instead of something more important so yes she deserved to be tased. And the fact that it happened in front of her kid? OH WELL! Maybe the kid will learn that when you are as clueless as mommy you have consequences. What she was doing in front of her kid was not much better.

I think she deserved what she got and more. What a dumb/arrogant person to block a drive thru after SHE was in the wrong for cutting in line and all in front of her daughter! Like she couldn’t have waited in line for whatever food she was ordering. Was she that hungry? Give me a break. It’s not like this got her anything except tased in front of her daughter. LOSER!

I’m against excessive force and using tasers for no good reason… but this isn’t one of them!!! I say they should have got a portable DVD player for the toddler, put on Sponge Bob for him/her then tased that jerk a couple more times for good measure! To pull the crap that she pulled, and the fact that she’s done it multiple times? If I was behind her in line, I’d want more than a taser to teach her a lesson.

@ JABARI…She cut in front of others..She was refused service and asked to leave by the McDonalds and Police…she still refused. She did not leave. …she got what she asked. Serving her food means rewarding her bad behavior. She would do it again. Now she will think twice before cutting in front of others…

Um, what in the world is wrong with you people?

She was rude. That’s all. Anyone cheering that she “got what she deserved” or “I would have tased her myself” are out of your flippin’ mind. You also need to learn what the phrase “slippery slope” means, and how it easily could apply to you next, for a far lesser “violation”.

This is a horrible case of abuse by police, and they should be taken to court and personally sued until they’re bankrupt.

What should have been done, you may ask?

Tell her to move. If she refuses, then cite her for trespassing (warn her first that it’s going to happen), serve her the food, and send the ticket to her house. End of issue, and nobody gets hurt.

Donald, “Hospitality industry employees are bound by a customer service code…”? BULL. Your pretend UNCODIFIED “code” does not supersede real laws and just plain decency. Is the McDonald’s restaurant or corporation REQUIRED to let people do everything they want to do? No. Are they restricted from telling people to GET OFF their property? No. Are individual employees required to take infinite amounts of abuse? NO.
I can tell you from personal experience there are awful, ugly, hateful, bullying people who will take what they do not deserve and demand more. I went to court to make sure a man who threatened me at work knew he could NOT get away with it. He was still there when the police arrived, and confirmed he had threatened to hit me with something. He was cited for “Assault – Threats,” a Class C Misdemeanor and crime against the state. I was called as a witness, and would not have missed showing up for anything! He wasn’t even at court because the business owner — who had told him to leave and not come back — was so conciliatory that this criminal thought I wouldn’t show up. So a warrant was issued for his arrest. I didn’t hear anything more about it, so I assumed that he spent time in jail, or decided to plead no contest, or paid a fine — or maybe all three. The man was slime, and had to somehow be told that he had NO right to abuse people at his whim.
I don’t know what this woman “deserved,” but the other people around her deserved to be treated with respect, which she was unwilling to do; the business and employees deserved enforcement of trespassing laws, and the right to manage their property as they see fit; her daughter deserves a safe, sane and fit guardian; and the police deserve as much safety and protection as they can have while enforcing laws against people, especially those who act like animals.
