It says at least 42 inches tall “if accompanied by a supervising companion.” Apparently the parent thought their 8yr old son was enough supervision for their “3 year old”. Makes you wonder if he is allowed to babysit her as well.

I’m not surprised an 8 year old was alone with his “3″ year old sister…we have plenty of idiot parents out there. But if she was indeed 3, no way she was 48 inches. My son is 3 years old, 40 inches, and “off the charts” in height. VERY tall for his age. My daughter is 7, also very tall, and just now 49 inches. Either she was not 3, or she was not 48 inches. Something is not accurate with this story.

Fact check please! 3 year old over 48 inches? Not a chance! Bottom line, the parents need to be investigated.

I agree with martinagirl…what 3 year old is 48 inches or over? My boys are tall for their age and did not reach 48 inches until about 5. Someone is lying here.

This is NOT a 3 year old. We have a problem Houston – news station. Look at the video — this girl is too tall – doesn’t even resemble a 3-year old. Plus, who would put their toddler on a ride alone or what ride would let a 3 year old on alone. Do we viewers have to do the leg work for you news people – guess you just regurgetate the news as it comes in. Use some common sense – being a news person on air is more than just hair and make-up – think for a minute and report the news.

I as a former Carny can say without a doubt that 75% of most carny rides are unsafe and half the carny’s are so high that they do not have your safety in mind but rather just how much money the can get out of your pockets!
