I agree that someone else probably would of helped them, but what makes this situation different is she helped someone who was not only rude but also could of endangered her life and her child by her reckless driving. Who cares if someone else would of done it, the act itself was a good deed regardless.

I find it interesting that Dominy is getting all this publicity on her word alone. Who called the press to tell them about it? Whenever I see this stuff, I have to wonder. I've stopped many times to help people in accidents, because I have nurses training, but never once have I gotten any kudos, nor do I expect any. To me, if you do something good just so you can brag about it, then you're not a 'Good Samaritan', you're a publicity hound.

Good job Kristen and for being the "better" person in this incident. Your parents raised you well.

Oh yeah, Floriduh has NO vehicle safety or emissions inspections either, period. Cars held together with duct tape are not uncommon and smoking exhausts are par for the course. Also, texting or takling while driving is legal. This state never ceases to amaze me with it's complete lack of common sense, nor do many of its residents- it's paradise lost down here. It's a model for any other state to NOT follow.

Read what "Hee Haw" said (march 9 2012, 9:06am) that pretty much says it all. I too have lived all over the US and in foreign countries and Floriduh has THE WORST drivers by far on so many levels. It IS a bizarre cultural phenomenon. Driving in NYC is a breeze by comparison, actually, it's a pleasure compared to driving in Floriduh. Anyone who doubts this just needs to compare insurance rates and driver fatalities per capita. Perhaps the biggest offenders are the police themselves. I have yet to see a cop use his directionals while driving 90+ mph down the highway weaving through traffic. And 90 mph is slow for a cop.

Maybe this woman was in a hurry and rude because she knew her car was heating up badly - she knew she was in danger - trying to pass - OK, the finger is out of line, but we really don't know what was going on in her head. But seriously, she could have a friend or family say thank you after the fact.

Hurray for Dominy. Good job. I think a lot of people would do the same thing given the circumstances. Remember the crowd of people that pulled that biker out from under that car wreck last year? I think we doubt each other too much.

Don't forget the driver of the Jeep passed on a double yellow line! That means they were on a 2 lane road, in a No Passing zone....yet the Jeep driver kept taking chances on a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle in the other lane.

Maybe the reason the Good Samaritan hasn't gotten a thank you is the Jeep driver WAS charged with reckless driving, which means they can put her in jail.

Regardless, a reckless driving charge is more than appropriate. I hope the Jeep driver will not only spend at least a little time in jail, but also be required to go to some kind of mandatory counseling, parenting, anger-management, etc. for a fairly long time. She obviously needs some serious help.
