What geno said…you have a picture of the wrong species up….big time.
Sus scrofa is the feral hog in Florida… You appear to have an image of Catagonus wagneri which isn’t in the US… Maybe it is a Pecari tajacu which is in the southwestern US. Regardless…the animal pictured isn’t in FL except maybe a zoo.

But the gun nuts will tell you that people who legally own guns are responsible. They will tell you that the laws on the books ensure that only responsible people are allowed to legally purchase guns. They will tell you that guns don’t kill or accidentally injur. Right. They don’t. BUT, the very fact that these cowboys and girls DO use their guns to kill and accidentally kill and injure, is enough for me to demand even more strict regulations on who can purchase a gun. Personally, I think any gun purchaser should undergo a drug test and a psychological workup.

The man should at least have his hunting license revoked. What an idiot.

You NEVER shoot what you can’t see. You don’t even POINT a rifle or other weapon at something unless you have every intention of shooting it (either a target or game). They should have at least pressed minimal charges of some type to get him in front of a judge and ordered to mandatory gun safety classes and possibly ordered to sell all firearms if he was incapable of passing one.

Second amendment rights are already limited in that felons are not allowed to posses firearms. Idiots that shoot people shouldn’t be allowed to have them, either.

Avoiding any comment on his girlfriend’s unfortunate appearance and going straight for the fellow’s intelligence: Some people’s IQ drops like a rocket when they pick up a weapon. Especially if they pick up a weapon and a beer – which I betcha is the case.
