Wondering about what these egg shaped fossils, some with the shell, whites and yolks clearly visable, and wondering what animal laid them, I looked in my collection of fossilized eggs for some guidance. Dinosaur eggs are tubular in shape birds are of the shape in the photographs, and fish and reptiles are round. Since birds and dinosaurs evolved side by side, perhaps these eggs are from a giant bird, like the "Thunderbird," in mythology. Perhaps these birds were responsible for the extinction of the large Dinosaurs and not mamals.

I've googled images of these presumable eggs and they are not eggs of any kind. I bet these are sedimentary nodules formed following a chemical reaction (like gas hydrate release at a deep marine environment).

The problem is, the cameras pixel resolution is too weak and make the round edges look straight and the straight edges will look round. They are also in a severe erosion zone and therefore they are not a monolith, I mean dinosaur eggs.

RT has a video with some guy standing next to the eggs for the ( naturally should be done with a quarter or a dime ( jeez DrMeatwad use a ruler )) size comparison. Just drop "Dinosaur Eggs Found in Chechnya" into search and it was the second non-ad result.

So...what we currently THINK is correct date-wise as to when the first dinosaurs would have been on the earth is defined as definitive proof? I think all of our human theories are susceptible to being dis-proven. Where we there 60 million years ago? No we weren't. Our best guesses and best theories taken from the current science in which we BELIEVE to be true is what we go on. Anything is possible in this universe. Especially that of the infinite arrogance of the human mind.

.
Absurd. Radiocarbon tests only runs till 60.000 years ago, and dinosaurs live hundreds of millions of years ago.

If they are not eggs, could they be giant opals? If they are concretions why are they so egg shaped? Also if they are eggs, it seems they would be more uniform in size. Would be interesting to see how they look when polished.
