@ J House: No, the correct term is geomorphism. And that doesn't exactly explain the acceleration of natural processes.

HERE HERE JO! Except I'd have to disagree on the solar and wind power...like it or not they are the electricity our future children will have to use to survive once the fossil fuels are burned up. Fact is there is no amount of damage that man can currently do to this earth that the earth cannot cleanup on it's own shortly after the last human breaths his last breath.

The earth has been warmer, the earth has been colder. The earth will be warmer, the earth will be colder. Change has come slowly, change has come quickly. Anthropomorphic or not does not mater to the earth. She will be here long after we are gone. Life will survive. All there has ever been is change. Hydrocarbon energy reserves will be exhausted. That carbon is going back into the Eco-system. The earth will tolerate it because it has before. Cleaner alternatives will be developed because economics demanded it not because governments legislated it. Everything else is rhetoric.

There has always been climate change , it is part of nature. This push for panic by ABC which will lead to carbon credit taxes is getting monotous. These wacky climate warming/cooling/end of the earth as we know it alls are pushing a globalist agenda that has nothing to do with saving the earth but everything to do with lining their own pockets. Al Gore stands to make millions if carbon credits go through. The liberal "make me feel better jet setters" can then do a mea culpa by ofsetting their "carbon footprint". Perhaps if environmentalists would take a more logical approach to saving the planet and its inhabitants by pressing the FDA to ban cancer causing BPA, by calling for labelling of GMO food ,petri dish and cloned animal food, by banning geoengineering which spews barium and aluminum into the atomosphere, by curtailing the use of HAARP which affects weather patterns. Perhaps these do gooders could get rid of unecessary flouride in the water. It seems strange to me that these wacky liberal environmentalists want to outlaw the use of tried and true reliable energy sources such as oil, gas and coal in lieu of unreliable solar and wind power. Are we ready to board a solar plane, is the technology there yet that we can immediately stop drilling? All the failed green energy companies that Obama gave hard working peoples money to has created a mess fpr Americans trying to survive. Four dollar a gallon gas could go away if a refinery could be built closer to Canada and/or Keystone Pipeline and asking oil companies to return to the Gulf. Instead we have to live with Obama's lame brain energy policies. When Solyndra failed , they detroyed millions of dollars of solar tubes, a tribute to recycling? Hypocrites.

As long as there is money to be made in promoting the man made climate change hoax, there will be those people fighting to the death to defend it. I guess that's easy enough to understand considering we all would probably do the same if that was how we made our living too. But it won't change the fact that the planet is in an eternal state of climate change. Always has been, always will be.
