I must say that looking at this case i am shocked at the way the citizens of this "civilized country" have reacted to this. Isn't your whole justice system based on innocent until proven guilty, yet your all calling for Zimmerman's blood. I'm not saying he didn't do anything illegal but your not working the case so you have no clue what really or truly happened. A child died and that is really sad but for a country that prides themselves in being really open minded you guys are really close minded in this case. I feel pity for Treyvon's family because they lost a loved one but I also feel pity for Zimmerman's family. Imagine all the scrutiny they receive from people who dont even know the full story of this tragic incident. Everyone rioting that it was because he was African american and what not, and i mean i think of all the deaths that i have seen against Hispanics perpetrated by every race, even our own race, and no one bats and eyelash, doesnt get on the news, no one questions is, why? because the stereotype is illegals,up to no good, gang member, ect ect. People need to realize racism isnt only against African Americans, i know that it exists but it also does against mexicans and every other race, when there where slaves down in soulth texas, the mexicans where put in the fields with them. Treated just like them, and died just like them. Aint one bit different. If anything just look at native american history, we tried to wipe out a WHOLE RACE of people. Wheres justice for them? why cant they even have the same rights we do? i think thats incredibly unfair. This is about a death of a person, he's case wasn't swept under the rug because he was black, it was over looked because believe it or not thousandths of cases get over looked every year, and they happen to every race. Only difference is they dont reach for the race card. And they try and fight it, but it never gains traction in the media, why? because it aids no fuel, no ratings. It bothers me to see so many african americans assume that just because he was black he got shot, acting like the world is still black and white. I had a mexican friend go to Baylor university and the whole town he stayed in was so racist to him, he was the quarter back for their football team, and he would get chased out of convince stores because they accused him of stealing and that he was there to cause trouble and they treated him like dirt. This is a homicide case now, race or no race involved. so be civil and remove race from this equation, it clouds judgement and makes things much more emotional charged, when those feelings are right but can be completely misplaced. Hopefully the investigation will turn up what really happened that night and if it turns out the hispanic man just killed the black teenager in cold blood he will go to jail, if not he won't. I wonder where all the news coverage is when a black man shoots a white man by the way. I can name three or four cases where this happened recently and those cases haven't received one tenth of the attention this one has. I guess that doesn't sell newspapers or make for good television ratings though. I sure didn't see Spike Lee twittering the names and addresses of those folks. The evidence has to be there to support either verdict. So stop saying he is guilty or not guilty without a doubt. You werent there and you dont know what happened. Let the police and courts do their jobs. All of you are being just as judgemental as you are claiming Zimmerman is and maybe you should think about that for a minute.
