Brandi Hitt Joins ABC NewsOne in Los Angeles

ABC NewOne Vice President Al Prieto has announced that Brandi Hitt will be joining ABC News as a NewsOne correspondent based in the Los Angeles bureau. NewsOne is the affiliate news service of ABC News. Brandi joins ABC News from KTLA in Los Angeles where she was a reporter and anchor.

Prior to KTLA, Brandi worked at KOVR, the CBS station in Sacramento and KMPH (Fox) in Fresno. She is no stranger to the ABC family having worked at ABC's affiliate KVEW in the Tri-Cities in Washington State.

Brandi has received two Emmy Awards and in 2011 was awareded a Golden Mike Award for her series "Kids Count." She has also spent time reporting from Afghanistan.

Brandi starts with NewsOne today and will spend her first two weeks working in the New York bureau before moving out to start in Los Angeles.
